Control Unit Emergency Running Function

1. Ensure frequency valve is operating properly. Connect engine (dwell) tester tool No. VW 1367 or equivalent (connector 1, blue/white wire) using adapter tool No. VW 1367/5 or equivalent, then depress ``%'' button.
2. Connect remote control tool No. VW 1348/3A or equivalent, to disconnected electrical connector of control pressure regulator and battery positive (+).
3. Disconnect electrical connectors from thermo-switch, activate remote control and check duty cycle. Correct reading is 48--52%.
4. If duty cycle value is not obtained, replace control unit.
