Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection
Inspection1. Refer to "Replacement" below for removal of the transmission fluid temperature sensor.
2. Place the transmission fluid temperature sensor in ATF along with a thermometer as shown, and heat the ATF gradually.
3. Measure resistance between the terminals of the transmission fluid temperature sensor.
4. If not correct, replace the transmission fluid temperature sensor.
5. Refer to "Replacement" for installation of the transmission fluid temperature sensor.
Replacement
1. Remove the control valve body cover.
2. Disconnect the transmission fluid temperature sensor connector.
3. Remove the transmission fluid temperature sensor by using the SST-49 G019 031.
4. Install a new transmission fluid temperature sensor by using the SST-49 G019 031.
Tightening Torque: 7.9-10.7 N-m (69.5-95.4 in-lb)
5. Connect the transmission fluid temperature sensor connector.
6. Install the control valve body cover.
