EGR Valve: Testing and Inspection

Inspection
1. Start the engine and let it idle.
2. Connect a vacuum pump as shown in the figure and apply vacuum.
3. Verify that the engine runs roughly or stalls.
4. If not as specified, replace the EGR control valve.
